Evaluation experience 2001-2005

During these five years, John consolidated his evaluation experience and led several large evaluations, including the Disasters Emergency Committee evaluation of the Mozambique Floods in 2000 and of the 2002 Southern African drought response. The culmination of this period was the Tsunami Evaluation Coalition's selection of John to be their evaluation advisor and coordinator for the large multi agency evaluation of the Tsunami Response.

2005: Evaluation Advisor and Coordinator for the Tsunami Evaluation Coalition (TEC) with visits to the Maldives, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. This involved coordinating the five thematic studies, some of which themselves has several sub-studies. 2005 concluded with the production of the TEC's initial findings report.
