Panoramas
Photography is a very powerful tool for communication and we often use photographs in reports and presentations to support and emphasise the points being made. While our photo library contains thousands of images, below we show some panoramas taken by John Cosgrave either on operations, or on visits to operations during evaluations or training.
Please be aware that panoramas are large images and viewing these pages is not advised on slow connections. The panoramas were stitched together with different software, but the most recent panoramas were stitched together using the "Autostitch" program developed by Matthew Brown and David Lowe at the University of British Columbia.
The first series of panoramas shows the development of a refugee camp on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in 2001. Each individual panorama is about 250 to 350kb
- Three panoramas illustrating the site development from day 1 to day 6.
- Three panoramas illustrating the site development from day 13 to day 22.
