Training and Facilitation from 2008 on
Training on Evaluation has become a regular part of John's training activity. John draws on his own evaluation experience to illustrate theoretical points and to provide trainees with practical tips.
2010 (September): Evaluation training with Margie Buchanan-Smith for the British Red Cross Society (BRCS) in London. This bespoke training run by Channel Research was specially designed for the needs of the BRCS.
2010 (June-July): Evaluation training with Margie Buchanan-Smith for the World Bank sponsored International Programme for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) in Canada. This was the first time that IPDET included a module on the Evaluation of Humantiarian Action in their programme.
2010 (June): Evaluation training with Margie Buchanan-Smith for the Active Learning Network on Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action (ALNAP) in Belgium. This training run by Channel Research included both intermediate and advanced training on the Evaluation of Humantiarian Action.

2009 (July) Lecturer on Military-Humanitarian relations at the Intermediate Command and Staff course at the UK's Defence Academy.
