Training and Facilitation in the 90s
John Cosgrave's training experience stems from training the staff reporting to him. His first experience of delivering formal training was in 1991 when he developed and delivered modules on logistics and on water and sanitation for UNHCR's Emergency Management Training Programme course in Madison, Wisconsin.
1999 (July): Security management training (with Jan Davis of RedR) in Hungary for security focal points drawn from the worldwide programmes of the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
1999 (July): Training for students on the Networks on Humanitarian Assistance (NOHA) International Humanitarian Diploma programme at University College Dublin.
1998 (June-July): Emergency Management training for member of the Irish Government's Rapid Response Roster.
1998 (June): Training (with Jeff Klenk of InterWorks Madison) for senior staff of SADC governments on managing refugee emergencies. Larger image

1997 (December): Researching and drafting three self-study modules for use by UNHCR and the University of Wisconsin's Disaster Management Centre on Contingency Planning, Planning an Emergency Response, and Managing an Emergency Response.
